When tasked with creating a piece ustilizing symbolic imagery in a new way, I chose to have my poster be inspired by the 1897 novel “Dracula” by Bram Stoker. Despite referencing such a well-known piece of literature, I wanted to introduce a new interpretation and representation of the character. I chose to do so by visualizing the vampire’s hand as it lifts up a coffin paired with a loose yet sharp free-form text that echoes the sharpness of sharp fangs and nails.
