Magical Girls can have Chainsaws, too
Stepping into my magical girl era 🌙✨
Here’s my piece for this month’s illustration collab between me and several of my artist friends — all starlight, spells, and girl power. For my magical girl “Allegra”, I originally came up with her weapon first. I knew I wanted this fun chainsaw to be the weapon, and then I slowly weaved in some musical inspiration, something something about how anything can sound like music to the right ear; even chainsaws. I wanted to do a fun sort of screencap moment to showcase Allegra’s personality and the kind of world I imagine she’d live in.
